Using the waveforms of light documented in clinical studies, the Light Touch Light Therapy stimulates tissue healing and repair. The aging process in the skin involves the breakdown of many components in both the dermal and epidermal tissues. Microdermabrasion helps to stimulate new cell growth in these tissues when performed in a series of treatments (see educational articles: Microdermabrasion). Light therapy boosts this process even further, especially when done immediately after the exfoliation of the stratum corneum (i.e. microdermabrasion).
