NEW!!! Epidermal Planing & Customized\Blending Mineral Makeup Cosmetic Course |
|
Finding advanced skin care training in medical esthetic procedures can be challenging and costly in both time and money. Grace Medical is now offering a one day course on epidermal planing (commonly called "dermaplaning") combined with a blended mineral makeup instruction. This tandem class allows you to get hands on training in both of these high end applications in the skin care market. Your client’s face will feel fantastic, especially when you apply a customized mineral makeup application immediately following the treatment of epidermal planing.
The class includes lecture, theory and hands on training in both dermaplaning and how to custom blend mineral powders and liquid foundation to perfectly match your clients skin tone. Tuition includes certificate of training as well as a startup kit of dermablades, sample kits of custom minerals powders and product use and demonstrations of custom liquid foundation. Course fee is $175 in advance or $200 on the day of the course.
Due to the advanced applications being taught, this course is NOT approved by the board of cosmetology for continuing education credits. Epidermal planing involves the exfoliation of stratum corneum using an open blade to remove vellus hair and stratum corneum. The result following the procedure is a softer, smoother skin resulting in an increase in the ability of products to penetrate into the epidermal and dermal layers. Hair regrowth is not altered following the use of epidermal planing. Dermaplaning will remove hair much like shaving. However, the hair is blunt ended and the root is left undisturbed. Rarely do patients complain about “feeling” regrowth as it starts back. In addition to the hair removal, the proliferation of skin at the epidermal layer due to the exfoliative process creates a stronger and more vital epidermal layer.
